He made it! After the longest day of my life, we found out last night at 11:15 pm that my dad, Bill Burke, became the oldest American to summit Mt Everest! Every minute seemed to take forever to tick by as we waited for any word at all. He is now at camp 4 resting and will proceed down the mountain tomorrow, when we will take a final sigh of relief.
